Polyester yarn

Polyester yarn is a synthetic fiber primarily made from Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), a polymer derived from petroleum. It is one of the most widely used materials in the global textile industry due to its extreme durability and cost-effectiveness.

Key Characteristics

Polyester yarn is engineered to offer several performance advantages over natural fibers:

  • High Strength & Durability: It is exceptionally strong and resists abrasion, making it ideal for items that face heavy use.
  • Resilience: It resists stretching, shrinking, and wrinkling, allowing fabrics to maintain their shape after many washes.
  • Moisture Management: It has low moisture absorbency and dries very quickly, which is why it is popular for activewear.
  • Colorfastness: The fibers hold dyes exceptionally well, resulting in vibrant colors that do not fade easily.
